MNTS Technical — Technical Services Website Build
Overview
MNTS Technical is a technical services company requiring a complete custom WordPress website built from the ground up. The project covered custom theme development with Elementor support, hierarchical custom post types for services and locations, full Elementor template design across all page types, SEO-structured URLs for service and location pages, and a range of conversion-focused features including sticky header, sidebar CTAs, and a structured footer with service and city navigation links.
The Challenge
The project required building a scalable, SEO-ready technical services website with a structured content architecture that could support parent and child services as well as main cities and sub-city location pages. Key challenges included:
- Building a custom WordPress theme with Elementor support and core utility functions from scratch
- Creating hierarchical custom post types for both services and locations — with parent-child relationships manageable from the WordPress admin
- Designing and building Elementor templates for every content type: blogs, single blog, services, single service, locations, single location, projects, and single project
- Structuring service and location page URLs correctly for local SEO
- Building a footer with three to four columns incorporating service and city links
- Implementing sticky header, before/after sections on service pages, and a sticky sidebar with CTA, latest posts, and services on blog and contact pages
Development Process
Custom Theme Setup
A custom WordPress theme was built from scratch with full Elementor support and basic utility functions. Elementor global settings were configured — page layout, colors, and typography — establishing a consistent design system across all templates. A backup system was set up before development began.
Custom Post Types
Two hierarchical custom post types were registered in the WordPress admin via theme code — Services and Locations. Both support parent-child relationships: services can be assigned a parent service to create sub-services, and locations can be assigned a parent location to create sub-city pages. Full Elementor template support was enabled for both CPTs.
Elementor Template Design
Full Elementor templates were designed and built for every content type across the site — covering the header with top bar and logo, footer, homepage, blog archive, single blog post, service archive, single service, location archive, single location, project archive, and single project. The single blog and single service templates include a sticky sidebar featuring a CTA section, latest posts, and services list. Service pages include a before/after section. About Us and Contact Us pages were checked and refined with CTA integration and sidebar treatment.
URL Structure
Service page and location page URL structures were configured for SEO — ensuring service and city pages follow a clean, hierarchical URL pattern appropriate for a local technical services company targeting multiple geographic markets.
Header & Footer
A sticky header was implemented to keep navigation accessible as users scroll. The footer was built in three to four columns incorporating service links and city/location links for internal navigation and local SEO signal reinforcement.
