FlightHired was a USA-based aviation job board platform built to connect pilots with aviation companies and employers through a structured, role-based system. The project was fully developed using WordPress, where I single-handedly handled the entire architecture, theme customization, and advanced feature implementation. The platform supported multiple user roles, including administrators, pilots (job seekers), and aviation companies/employers, each with tailored access, dashboards, and functionality. I customized the WordPress theme extensively to align with the aviation industry’s professional standards while ensuring a clean, intuitive user experience across devices. A major part of this project involved custom plugin development. I engineered bespoke plugins to extend WordPress beyond its default capabilities, including a dedicated pilot resource module that provided curated CV guidance and downloadable CV templates specifically designed for aviation professionals. This feature helped pilots create industry-ready resumes and improved overall candidate quality on the platform. The system was optimized for performance, scalability, and usability, ensuring smooth job posting, browsing, and candidate interaction. By combining deep WordPress customization with custom plugin logic and role-based workflows, FlightHired evolved into a feature-rich, niche job board tailored exclusively for the US aviation market. This project highlights my ability to build complex, role-driven WordPress platforms, develop custom plugins from scratch, and deliver industry-specific solutions that go far beyond standard WordPress setups.
