Coterrarei — Elementor Form to Podio CRM Integration
Overview
Coterrarei is a US-based real estate company operating in acquisitions and dispositions. The project involved building a custom WordPress plugin to connect the website's Elementor contact forms directly to Podio — automatically routing buyer and investor leads to the dispositions list and seller and property leads to the acquisitions list, creating a seamless front-end to CRM pipeline for the client's two core lead streams.
The Challenge
The client needed website form submissions to flow automatically into the correct Podio list based on the type of lead submitted — without manual sorting or data entry. Key challenges included:
- Building a custom Elementor form to Podio integration plugin from scratch — connecting form submissions directly to the Podio API
- Creating and configuring two separate Podio apps — one for Buyer Inquiries and one for Seller Inquiries — each with fields mapped to their respective Elementor form structure
- Ensuring buyer and investor form submissions route exclusively to the dispositions Podio app and seller and property submissions route exclusively to the acquisitions Podio app
- Mapping all form fields to their correct Podio field counterparts using the respective app IDs
Development Process
Podio App Setup
Two dedicated Podio apps were created — one for Buyer Inquiry submissions and one for Seller Inquiry submissions. Each app was structured with fields matching the corresponding Elementor form on the website, with field mapping defined using the respective Podio app IDs and external field IDs.
Custom Integration Plugin
A custom WordPress plugin was developed to handle the Elementor form to Podio connection. On submission of the buyer/investor form, the plugin posts the lead data to the Buyer Inquiry Podio app — feeding into the dispositions workflow. On submission of the seller/property form, the plugin posts to the Seller Inquiry Podio app — feeding into the acquisitions workflow. All field data is mapped and transmitted correctly to the appropriate Podio app via the Podio API.
