A full-scale WordPress website build for Bird Property Management — a premium property management company in Santa Clarita, CA. The project covered 40+ pages including service pages, location-specific landing pages, owner/resident portals, and a blog, with a focus on lead generation, clean UX, and conversion-driven design.

Overview

Bird Property Management needed a modern, high-converting website to serve three distinct audiences: property owners, tenants, and referral partners. The goal was to build a site that positioned them as a premium, system-driven property management company while making it easy for every type of visitor to take action — whether that's getting a rental value estimate, logging into a portal, or submitting a maintenance request.

The Challenge

The existing digital presence lacked structure, clear conversion paths, and the visual authority needed to compete in the Santa Clarita property management market. The new site needed to:

  • Serve multiple user types (owners, residents, realtors, investors, loan officers) under one cohesive experience
  • Drive leads through strategically placed CTAs and forms like "Get My Rental Value"
  • Cover 8 local service area markets with SEO-optimized individual pages
  • Integrate third-party owner and resident portals seamlessly
  • Perform fast and flawlessly on mobile devices

Scope of Work

40+ pages designed and developed across 5 main content categories:

  • Owner-Focused Pages — Owners overview, Full Service, Lease Only, Our Marketing, Owner Portal, My Rental Value form
  • Resident-Focused Pages — Residents overview, Renting a Property, Pet Policy, Pay Rent, Move Out Info, Resident Portal, Submit Maintenance Request
  • Service Area Pages — Individual pages with forms for Agua Dulce, Canyon Country, Castaic, Newhall, Saugus, Stevenson Ranch, Val Verde, and Valencia
  • Partner & Referral Pages — Referral Partners, Realtors, Loan Officers, Investors, Vendor Application
  • Company Pages — About, NARPM, BBB, Testimonials, Blog, Contact, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use

Development Process

Environment Setup & Architecture

The project kicked off with a full site backup before any development work began. The WordPress environment was cleaned — removing unnecessary plugins, themes, and legacy data. Required plugins (including SCF and JegKit) were installed and configured. Five navigation menus were structured and configured to support the site's multi-audience architecture, and global Elementor styles (typography, colors, buttons, spacing) were established as a design system foundation.

Design System

A clean, professional visual language was built using Elementor's global styles. The site went through a deliberate typography refinement mid-project — replacing Playfair Display with Michroma across all headings for a more modern, authoritative feel. Heading sizes and typographic hierarchy were adjusted consistently across all pages to match the updated direction.

Page Design & Responsiveness

All 40+ pages were designed and made fully responsive in a structured sprint over approximately two weeks:

  • Week 1: Home, Contact, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Rental Value, Owners, Residents, Our Marketing, Portals, Renting a Property
  • Week 2: Pet Policy, Pay Rent, Move Out, Submit Maintenance, Services, all Service Area pages, About, NARPM, BBB, Referral Partners
  • Week 3: Vendor Application, Realtors, Investors, Loan Officers, Blog (archive + single post template), Testimonials

Client Revisions

A dedicated revision round covered 25+ pages including About, Contact, Header, Home, all owner and resident pages, all service area pages, and portal pages. Blog templates were also redesigned — two new loop item templates were created and the archive layout was fully rebuilt per client direction.
