Saad Automobiles is a Bangladesh-based car dealership requiring a custom WooCommerce-powered vehicle listing and sales website. The project focused on building a structured product architecture with custom post types and meta fields tailored for automotive listings, alongside fully custom archive and single product page designs built with Elementor and Pro Elements.
The Challenge
Standard WooCommerce product fields are built for general retail — not automotive listings. Key challenges included:
- Extending WooCommerce with custom post types and custom meta fields to capture vehicle-specific data such as make, model, year, mileage, fuel type, and transmission
- Designing a product archive page and card templates that clearly present vehicle listings in a browsable, visually organized format
- Building a custom single product page layout appropriate for automotive detail pages — displaying all vehicle specifications and imagery in a structured, conversion-focused design
- Ensuring full responsiveness across all templates and device sizes
Development Process
Custom Post Types & Meta Fields
Custom post types were created to structure vehicle listings within WooCommerce. Custom meta fields were added to capture automotive-specific product data — enabling detailed vehicle specifications to be entered, managed, and displayed cleanly through the WordPress admin without relying on generic product description fields.
Product Archive & Card Templates
A custom product archive page was designed using Elementor and Pro Elements, with vehicle listing cards built to display key specifications at a glance — presenting make, model, pricing, and key details in a clean, scannable card format. The archive layout was designed for easy browsing across a dealership's full vehicle inventory.
Single Product Page
A fully custom single product page template was built to present individual vehicle listings with a structured layout — covering the full image gallery, detailed specifications pulled from custom meta fields, pricing, and purchase or inquiry CTAs. The design was tailored to the automotive context rather than using WooCommerce's default product page structure.
